Under Billy’s leadership, rPath was the first company to offer products for the creation, distribution and maintenance of applications as virtual appliances. Prior to founding rPath in 2005, Billy was Vice President of North America Sales for Red Hat where he also conceived and oversaw the launch of Red Hat Network, the platform that enabled Red Hat’s subscription revenue model. He began his career with General Electric where he held various production, supervisory, engineering and management positions. Billy holds an Aerospace Engineering degree from Georgia Tech as well as MS degrees in Management and Engineering from MIT.
